DNA

DNA is a fascinating thing and here I want to show you how certain facts about DNA also hold true for design.

Uniqueness.

Less than 1% of our DNA separates us from every living thing on this planet. In other words, that small part of our DNA alone represents the uniqueness of each and every one of us.

No matter what form of design you’re into, I feel that being a designer gives you the means to express yourself creatively. And the majority of designers share the single aspiration of producing something unique.

I want to explore what makes a designer unique and equally what makes their designs stand out from the rest.

Traits.

As well as exploring what makes us unique, I believe it’s important to understand what makes us the same.

Our DNA also possesses the traits of which we inherited from our parents and this also holds true for design, but perhaps not in such a direct way.

Greatness inspires greatness and using their craft, many great designers have found ways to revolutionise the design world and influence the millions.

I hope to explore how we as designers have been influenced by others and recognise how we have inherited the traits of the design great who came before us.
